How to add a car
The fastest way is scanning the registration certificate — the app reads the data on its own. It also works fully manually, if you prefer.

By scanning the registration certificate
From the app: + → Add car → Scan certificate for autofill.
- Place the certificate on a flat surface, with good light.
- The camera opens automatically and detects the document's edges on its own.
- The app reads the certificate and fills in: license plate, make, model, year, chassis number (VIN), CIV series, plus technical data — vehicle type, fuel, engine displacement, power, maximum weight, number of seats, first registration date.
- You check what it read — each field shows exactly which position on the certificate it came from (A, B, D.1, E…) — correct it if needed and save.
🔒 The photo of the certificate is never saved anywhere. It's used strictly on your phone, to fill in the fields, and is deleted immediately after processing. If you want to keep a copy of the certificate, use Me → Documents.
Manually
Same form, filled in by you. Required: license plate, make, model, year. The VIN, CIV series and technical data are optional — but the VIN is what makes the automatic ITP check possible, so it's worth filling in if you have it handy.
What happens next
The car appears on the Home screen. The app checks, on its own, straight from the source, the validity of the ITP (using the VIN), the RCA insurance and the Rovinieta (using the license plate), and shows you the days remaining for each. You never type in an expiry date — it reads them directly from the official registries.
From the car's card, in the ⋮ menu, you get access to: expiry alerts, family sharing, editing, color, deletion.
💡 Tip: if you want the ITP to be checked automatically, it's worth scanning the certificate even if you enter the rest manually — the VIN is the key field.

What happens if I don't have the car's VIN?
You can add the car without a VIN, but the automatic ITP check relies on the VIN — without it, the app can't automatically confirm whether the ITP is valid.
